5 - Description of some biotopes

A very particular biotope... : ADGP 11-22

In the middle of a hillside, we came across a junction of several small streams, in forest. The characteristic of each different. PH from 5.35 to 6.15, 26.5°C to 27.2°C, clear water to a water amber, a current almost zero in the medium.
We find several species in this area, and some of them are even present in several streams, as Aphyosemion ahli.

But our attention was focused on one particular species: the Aphyosemion franzwerneri.
His stream? About 20cm wide, with ... 1cm depth of water! And 2 meters long, we have sinned thirty individuals. Extraordinary!
Once acclimated to our tanks after our return, we note that this fish does not know how to swim! He remains at the bottom, moving only with blows.
