D5 - One day for Epiplatys

07/08/2016 - Journey : Mouila --> Mandji

A day a little more mat and quieter than the previous one. We leave Mouila, in direction of Mandji, at about 8 am. After 2 hours drive, we arrive in... Kili. You can't make this up !
We take the track in the direction of Massana. Finally, it is what we believe. After a first fishing of 2 hours for Plataplo, we notice that we are not on the right track ! Too bad. We continue and make a second point with big and magnificent (yes I admit !) Epiplatys ansorgii in particular.
After the third fishing point on the right track this time, we return early to Mandji.
The region is sublime. Between savannah plains and equatorial hills, pictures are perfected, and animals are abundant. Elephants, without seeing them, are omnipresent. There is also numerous birds and butterflies all more beautiful some than the others!
The dinner: antelope! A day, a (new) meal. And it is very good.
The day ends by a photography session (rather made a success) and the water changes by means of Thibault.
Black point of the day: a shock absorber of the car is broken. It is thus necessary to have it repaired tomorrow morning. The appointment is taken at 6 am, before leaving. As a result, the program of tomorrow exchange. We think of getting back the car at the end of morning. We shall thus stay in Mandji and its surroundings one day furthermore before leaving to Omboué.
